Our best friend Manawyddan (Mannie for short) is a rescue Golden Retriever who is so full of love that he has earned the nickname “Love Sponge” from our living history group. Mannie loves to go on parade in his livery with the rest of the Archers of our group and deserves a bit of “Mannie fuss time” to show our appreciation of the love and devotion he gives to us. Finger (and paws) crossed!
Hi me and my wife , love our patterdale terrier kasha to bits ,and hate leaving her at kennel’s or relatives if we need to go away ,so we never do, we try to spend as much time with kasha as possible, kasha as been through a lot 5 years ago she suffered a spinal stroke, she battled on and walks with a limplimp now, then two years ago at the age of 7years she started to take fits , are vet sent us to Glasgow’s small animals hospital and there she was diagnosed with a brain tumor ,me and my wife were devastated, they told us she as about 6 months to live ,them a month after the vet ,miss starling rang us and sead there is some new drugs but only on trial, and would we let kasha go on the trial drugs and may help other dog in the future, only down side was that kasha would have to have a aortopse that they would do when she final go’s, it was hard for me and my wife,we never had children, so kasha was are baby , so we sead yes its now been 2years and we still have and love her to bits ,she is are life are love and we will give her the best life we can,we all no that are dogs, cats or any pets we have don’t stay with us long cos of there life span ,but we love them care for them ,and they bring us joy to our life ,we are not rich people but kasha makes our life rich in so many ways .
Me and my wife would love a break away with kasha ?.

A welcomed rest before the start of the shooting season with our two dogs Buster (lab) and Lucy (spanial).
The Yorkshire dales are a fantastic place to exercise both your dog and you . The heifer is recommended on numerous food sites and specialises in seafood my favourite . At breakfast dogs also get a sausage treat !
We would love to take our girl Betsy Boo away on holiday as its nearly her first birthday! She deserves it as she is such a good girl, she spoils us with love and we would like to spoil her back!
Hotel amazing , staff friendly scenery breathtaking. Lovely place to walk dogs and plenty to see . Dogs fussed over and treated at breakfast .
We would love to win as our dog Monty loves little breaks away. You don’t often find places that allow you to take dogs with you.
I would live to stay overnight with my pooch so he has a chance of a bit of luxury too 🙂
I think myself and my 6 month old Miniature Schnauzer Mickey deserve a break away. I have recently undergone major hip surgery, where my pelvis was broken and completely reset. After being in hospital for 8 days with the first four on an epidural it was time to return home. I was so worried that Mickey might not realise I was a bit delicate and be his usual bounding puppy self. However he was and had been an absolute star. It’s now 6 weeks on and although I still can’t put any weight through my leg , Mickey is being amazing. He’s so gentle with me and despite his age he knows when I need a schnauzer cuddle. He’s definitely my best friend and I couldn’t do this without him.
I’d to win because there is nothing better that seeing the world with four paws at your side.
Would love to leave the rat race behind, and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing night away, take our chocolate lab to asgarth falls where she can swim to her hearts content, and then come back to the heifer where she can lay infront of the fire and have happy dog dreams
Everything I love in one place! Great food, wonderful setting & pooches too!
I would love to win this as a special treat for our new rescue Choccy Lab called ‘Pepper’. She was abandoned by her owners and the minute we met her, just 8 weeks ago, we just knew she was meant to become part of our family. She has settled in really well, is exceptionally well behaved and very loving. I don’t know how anyone could leave her. I would like her to have this lovely break away as a thank you for making our lives complete.
I work full time and have two young children. My spaniel max spends all that time on his own and is so good. He doesn’t move a thing or touch anything in the house. He absolutely adores the yorkshire dales and loves walkies. I think he deserves this treat for having to spend so much time alone 🙁
First of all thank you for this offer me & my bulldog would love to win a getaway here
We love to go see new places and it’s not often you find these beautiful places that’s dog friendly
Hope we have some luck & thank you again for this offer good luck to everyone 😊
What a fantastic offer.
I’m sure Alfie our black Labrador would be more than willing to stay in such a wonderful welcoming hotel and sample any spare fish sausages steak ect that are offered to him.
He is also a photogenic dog so I’m sure he will pose for any amount of Photo’s.
I would love to give my lovely pooch some 5 star treatment especially as we usually have to leave him at home when we go away, I am sure he would love the pampering x
I’d love to win this midweek break as I’d love to show my JRTs the joy of Yorkshire
Because our dog loves her holidays.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the Wensleydale Heifer for my birthday last year. We have only recently bought our first dog and to stay in a brilliant place like the Heifer, with our new edition would be fantastic.
The Wensleydale Heifer sounds lovely and truly dog-friendly unlike some establishments which claim to be, but then impose restrictions on your dogs. A mid-week break would be fantastic.
Lovely prize!! Xx
